Title: Need to find 1/4 ID flex hose
Post by: fender316 on May 18, 2009, 10:46:28 AM
I first tried the regular 1/4ID vynil flex hose, but that stuff is so stiff and usually curved 90 degrees over 1ft from the roll it originally came from.  now im using pool hose which is nice and flexible but it leaks out the little spiral at the fitting.  is there anywhere to get some nice hose for this oceanic tank i got?  i need to get it running properly, there's hardly any flow.  my old system with ABS was a hundred times better in terms of functionality than this bottom drilled tank.

turn ur oven on, and pre heat the plastic (line over rack with some foil).. then get some oven mitts and bend it slowly until you get what you want

That's a great solution, but the vynil is still clear which leads to algae...i actually stumbled upon this at canadian tire when i was looking at pool fittings.  just what i needed, has the little connections every 2 feet, just soak them in hot water and they slip right on nice and tight.  i only needed a little piece so there's lots left if anyone needs some
