Title: I'm in love :)
Post by: crazy 4 fish on May 24, 2009, 11:00:59 PM
So I finally was able to get a new filter for my fishies in the 32 g ... a Eheim 2213. I just installed it today and so far I'm in love. Had a Fluval 404 and as far as I'm concerned good ridance. Bought it second hand and only lasted a year. Soooo noisy. Got worse when I changed my substrate to 1/2 fluorite 1/2 fine gravel. This Eheim is heavenly. Any comments about how these do longterm ? Thanks. Cheryl

As far as I'm aware they go on forever.
I have one of which I'm the third owner and it's still
working great. I liken mine to the Everready bunny.

The only issue I had with mine was I snapped the impeller
shaft while cleaning it once. My own fault, being a little overzealous
with a screwdriver ::).

I have four of those, they run and run, and run, just run, ... they in fact run that well that I never need to interfere, also a rinsing might be good after a year or so in operation ...  ::)

So long term: you can stay on cloud no 7.  :)
