Title: Tank Gadget: What's that?
Post by: groan on May 28, 2009, 10:53:50 AM
Hey guys,

Tank Gadget (http://tankgadget.com) is my newest project to post news of new and upcoming hardware in the Aquarium world, and as with many news blogs it depends a lot on its readers for input.
Since I love you guys I thought I'd start with you!

I'd like to start my research with asking you guys about something that I'd not heard of until i started this,
Titanium Alloy Heaters. (http://www.tankgadget.com/2009/05/submersible-aquarium-heaters/)

Has any of you used these? How do you like the external controller? Where/how much did you pay?
I just want to know everything about what you think about them.

Feel free to comment on the site and if you have any interesting news please let me know!

Thanks and I hope you folks like it.

Disclaimer: The Exec has approved my request to post here for info and insight.

I use Titanium Alloy Heaters in my sumps.

-They are more efficient at transferring heat to water
-1000Watt heater heats my whole 195/65/33 sump

I use a ranco etc controller for them. Very good!

-In a main tank they get hotter then other heaters, so could burn a fish. Best used in a sump

-Jehmco.com sells setups.
