Title: Power Outage!!!!! Help!
Post by: mikerobart on June 22, 2009, 09:09:17 PM
Where I live the hydro is set up in the neighbours name, I share sort of a duplex but my hydro has always been inclusive, so they pay my portion and receive some $$ from landlady to compensate. Anyways, they didn't pay the bill, my landlady can't get power back until tomorrow morning / afternoon.

29g mixed reef, I am running my korallia 1, my eclipse hood pump, and a crappy biocube skimmer (mainly for aeration) from a 175 w power inverter... along with laptop, modem, and wifi card  ;D. Going to be a long night.

Can I really get 1200 W hrs out of this battery? I am totally prepared to idle all night if need be, or take it for a drive every few hours. Going to be a long sh!tty night no doubt !

I am going to try to keep my inside temp around 77-80.. will be closing windows soon, since I don't want to kill battery fast with the heater (150W).

I don't want to lose my animals! Any help would be appreciated!

Good news so far I am holding steady at 79.5 degrees and have been around this for the past few hours. Animals seem happy, other than a new scratch on the side of my female clown.. maybe it got startled when the lights went out too early!  Or stressed maybe and ran into something.

I have a couple of battery operated air pumps. I don't know how much juice is left in them but you are welcome to borrow them to keep your water airated.
