Post by: michael on July 29, 2009, 01:45:56 PM
Hi. I have 2 Aqua Clear 50's on my 40 gallon and I want to extend them to the bottom of the tank what would be the best way to do that? Thanks Mike

The Hagen aqua clear extension tubes is the way to go Michael, if adding one  is too long for your 40 gallon breeder , they can easily be cut to legnth, see link

Thanks. i just wanted to make sure before I ordered some. How far down the tank do you guys put yours? I was told about 2 or 3 inches from the bottom. I posted a video of my fish in the introductions forum. Mike

My fluval intake sits roughly 3'' from the bottom
