Hi guys,
I am looking to get a used Eheim, there are a few on Kijiji in Montreal, however they all have different ID numbers and I can never find a site that give the different models and gallons they cover.
Even the Eheim site does not tell you the gallons they`ll do.
Since I have a 65 running with a Eheim 2215 and I just bought a 70gallon that came with a 2213.
I would like to upgrade to a larger Eheim for both of these tanks, and then sell the ones I have.
One guy is selling a 2026 for $125, he says that it is good for tanks up to 160g, but every site says more like 95g.
Is he right or just exagerating?
Thanks!
From what I've seen on sites, its rated up to between 92 - 100 gallons..
Here is a site with all the specs, you can also call Eheim North America based in Montreal

I know the 2028 is good for up to 160 gal, but not the 2026. This is clearly a case of buyer beware. The picture on the above link also shows the difference between the two in terms of size, which is quite obvious.

In past conversations with the Eheim rep. i learnt the 2 filters ( 2026&2028) use the exact motor & impeller, the rating difference of the 2 filters is determined by the bio media capacity & not flow or pump rate, this is the way Eheim do their rating, hence it is important to pay close attention to their published bio media qty for their filters, that said keep in mind your bio
filter, is dependent on your bio load.
The 2026 is rated for 92 US gallons /77 imperial gallons
