Title: custom "tanks"
Post by: murgus on September 02, 2009, 10:43:22 AM
I am looking for a couple of display boxes for a pair of Japanese dolls and, after doing some research, what I think would work is a couple of rimless tanks turned upside down.  They would both have a footprint of 13" x 13" and a height of 14".  Since the "bottom" of the tank would be the top of my display box, I need it to look really good!

Would glass or acrylic be a better choice?  WHo makes custom tanks that might be able to quote on this?  Is this something a rank amateur could do (and do well)?

Thanks,
Andrew

For a display case I would recommend using glass.  Glass will be easier to clean and will get less scratches from cleaning and dusting.
