Hey
Ive been thinkin about my flow... its a 33g with a koralia 3 and just my return
Are the vortech mp10s worth it or is the mp20 a better deal for a 33g?
are they even worth the investment or is there something out there thats similar?
Corey
I put one MP20 in my Aquapod 24. I like the variable flow and all the different flow programs.
I was using Koralia's. The pumps are pricy but I like mine.
To my ears, the vortech's get loud at 100% power... I went with 2x MP40s for my 90g so I could run them both under/at 50% power to reduce ambient noise... Based upon that, I'd recommend the MP20.
all i know is as soon as i can afford it im buying an MP40 ::)
For a 33g tank, I would definately go with the MP20.
The MP10 wont give you the flow that you want on the other side of the tank.
yea i defanetly want to go that route but dunno i want to dish out that much cash.....
choices! i only cash grew on trees
Now with respect to anything else in the same category, there really isnt anything even close!
I used to have a K3 half way down in my 120 and it kept pushing around the gravel. But for fun I have had a 4 x MP40W's running half way down ALL at full strength and the gravel didnt shift at all! Its just a very different flow patern.
i picked up an MP20, and love it. many awesome flow patterns, AMAZING circulation.
+1 to MP20
