I have been trying to determine what is the correct ballest to run giesemann MegaChrome 250W single ended bulb. ??? I have a standard 250W metal halide ballast (M58 I think). Has anyone used this combination? If so what has your experience been in terms of coral colour and bulb life? Thank you.

Take a look at:
http://www.manhattanreefs.com/lighting
and select either the tab "Lamp and Ballast" or the "one Lamp" tab. You will get a great deal of information about bulb / ballast combinations.
