Title: Bulkheads
Post by: xiaan on December 03, 2009, 11:20:40 AM
I need to get a 3/4" Bulkhead that will fit a 1 3/8" hole in order to do my tank swap this weekend. Does anyone know where i can get one in the city? I have already tried Ottawa Inverts, Marinescape and PVC Plus.

Another thought might be to try an RV dealership or The Chandlery. Through the hull fittings for bilge pumps and the like are just bulkheads in disguise. I've even seen suitable fittings in the RV/Trailer section of WalMart. Most of them are certified for potable water so they should work fine.

Purewater has some - not sure if they have your size though. They are about $12 a piece.

How much are they at TSC?

Last time I got some they were around $5.  It's a farm store.

It's the Tractor Supply Company in Canada.  Almost a Home Hardware store.  It's located on the highway in Arnprior.

Thank you. I should drive up there sometime.

Perhaps I can pick up a party-pack of tractors at the same time.

They do have bulkheads. Schedule 40 and 80 to boot.

I get all of my plumbing there. If you buy a bunch of it sometimes they don't count properly and you end up with a bunch of stuff free!

Canus Plastics on Lisgar has all the bulkheads in bins you could dream of.  Beware though, they are industrial grade high quality (schedule 80) and are not cheap.  A 3/4" bulkhead will set you back ~$23 each....I recently purchased five of them....ouch.
