Title: Temporary Tank divider
Post by: new fish on the block on December 13, 2009, 07:20:10 AM
Hello,

My krib fry emerged this week and Mom and Dad are making live miserable for the other tank residents.  Everyone is cowering in the corner.  I'd like to put up a temporary tank divider to help keep the peace until the babies are big enough to relocate.

The tank is a 20long.  Do the cheapie little dividers you can buy work ok?

Thanks,

Years ago I used one in my 10 gallon tank to separate fry from the rest of the tank and it worked quite well. As long as it's got holes in it to allow for water flow it should work.

Yup, they work. Make sure you get the right size. And as said, assure you have enough water flow on bot sides. An airstone works wonders here.
