I'm building a pond barrel filter, Does anyone know where to get Matala maps in Ottawa or something similar, I'm using scubby pads as the main media but I want a mat to catch debris on the top of the barrel.

I am sure there are other places in town that sells them as well. Garden Centers that carry Aquascape products would most likely have them as well.
Petsmart carries a similar mat made by Laguna. However, I believe that they are getting out of the pond supply arena and may not be holding much in the way of stock.
When I had my pond running, I used the generic blue furnace filter material from HD/Cdn Tire.
I think Petsmart on Merivale (old Super Pet) had some on clearance...
Thanks I will check it out. Online supply seemed really expensive. It's for the top of 23" wide 55G barrel.
