Title: please help identify
Post by: freshfishies on May 01, 2010, 10:31:58 AM
I got this plant from someone and they didn't know anything about it.
It is not doing well I don't think...I'm hoping someone can identify it as I have been looking for a couple weeks
unsuccessfully which is making me think it's not even aquatic ??? or possible should be floating instead of planted?

ECHINODORUS 'KLEINER BAR'

I have the plant, though it varies in color and height depending on if it has alot of strong light, florite gravel, and ferts, etc.  This one looks to be kind of short in comparison to what it could be looking like.  But if you look at the veins on the leaves there is a specific pattern that helps identify this plant.

There is a chance I could be wrong about what kind of plant it is.  But at least you could take a look and see if the plant name helps you out.   :)
