Title: salt water storage bucket question
Post by: aqua666 on June 24, 2010, 09:20:55 PM
I went to home depot today to buy a rubetmaid bucket and I was wondering if polyethylene is better material or polypropylene for salt water storage?
I did asked the company how I would know what is made out of and she said that under the bucket says either PP or PE which represents the the two different one.
what I am gussing is that I have to get a food grade bucket but I dont know which of the above chemicals are considered food grade.
some help would be very much appriciated
thanks.

I'm not sure was size bucket you are looking for.

A lot of people use the Rubbermaid BRUTE trashcans for RO/DI and saltwater storage.  They are food safe, but much more expensive than a regular trash can.  HD is the only local place that I've seen them for sale.
