Where did you find a screw bulb with 6500K? I tried Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Canadian Tire. Couldn't find any 6500K screw bulb.
There must be one somewhere :P
Oh and I also read (on Wet Web Media) that Chaeto will need a dark period or rest period for better growth.
But I am really no expert since mine is dying :( I am trying a new 23W (light as a 90W) screw bulb at 4100K right now.

Lots of 6700k out there. Home depot has em.
I got mine at Canadian Tire. Some brands don't list the actual bulb temperature - a general rule of thumb is that a "Daylight" bulb is 6500K
Ya CDN tire the box is a powder blue color
Says 6500k daylight right on it.

What wattage? say that 10 times really fast... LOL
I'm using a 23W
Mine are 26 watts
I say "are" cause they come in a two pack
about 12 bucks a pair. When they are on sale around 9.99
I grab some. I've got a lifetime supply I think.
Only had one blow in last two years.

I had several spares but twice I've dumped my light into the fuge and shorted them out. :-[ I have no spares now so need some of these.
