I have found to what I believe is fireworms in my refugium. looks like 10 or 20 feeding on dead snails. Sould I be concerned .

I am more concerned about the plural in "dead snails" than I am about the fireworms. What is causing multiple snails to die?

The snails were a small amount of perwinkles that I brought home from PEI. I only had 10 and they are a cold water snail, they did not make it.
Greg
And, where do you think the fireworms came from??
As far as I know, they're bad..
Ahhh... make sense. I would not worry about the worms. I believe the worm population will only grow as large as the food source allows. Thus, don't overfeed and you should be good.
You can trap them. Make a small trap using small piece os PVC or CPVC with a cap on one end and cap on the other but a couple small holes drilled in it. Put some food deep inside the tube with some loss piece of pant hoses. The worms go in after the food get tangle in the nylon. Remove the tube clean out and reset. I remove bristleworms this way. Work better if no food supply for them to eat so i'd remove the dead snails. Watch out they sting!
leave them, there fine.
and btw, they are probably bristle-worms.
DON'T TOUCH THEM!
I was severely burn for several weeks fater accidentally touching one of those nasties...
