Title: removing stains on silicon
Post by: Jim on September 01, 2005, 07:54:31 PM
I used some clout in my tank and it is badly stained  :?

I'm going to be taking EVERYTHING out of it anyway so i though i would get rid if it.

Any mixtures i can use?

Thanks
JIM

I do find that ammonia takes stains away from clothes.
Silicon... I would think that perhaps bleach would do the trick
let is soak  for few hours and see if it does take stains away.
other than that ammonia might work.
if it doesn't CLR OR orange concentrate might work.
there after you will have to flush your tank extremely well.
