Title: Angels and Corals - Experience
Post by: Severum on August 20, 2010, 10:46:32 AM
Just my experience. Yours may and likely will be different.

Well, due to a big house renovation I took my tank apart. All fish went into my sump/frag tank area. I had some concerns about my flame angel and corals. Everything was fine for the first week but I slowly started to notice some damage on SPS frags. After another couple of days one piece had all its flesh eaten.

Since that time the flame angel has literally disappeared, which at least saves me the trouble of getting rid of him, and there is no further damage to any corals.

As nice and some dwarf angelfish are, proceed with caution (for corals) really means proceed with caution.

I picked up a Coral Beauty about 2 weeks ago.  It seems to be picking at my brain coral or creatures on it.  The brain is not happy.

I picked up a female Bellus angel about a month ago, no problems with her yet. She hangs around with one of my clowns and hasn't bothered any corals.
Their supposed to be reef safe. They can be a bit pricey though...

That is a stunning angel. I've never seen one like that before.
