Is Maracyn and Maracyn 2 safe for plants?

I've never seen had an issue - but I don't know for sure.

I think Maracyn can kill off certain types of 'bacterial algaes'. But I'm just pulling at straws here.

Perfectly safe on plants. Have used it in the past in a planted tank with no ill effects.
