Title: Java Moss, Ancharis, Brown Algae
Post by: daworldisblack on January 11, 2011, 07:09:42 PM
Hey Guys and Gals,

Just a few questions. I have ancharis is my 10g as well as some Java Moss. Some of my Java moss turned yellow and I read that it was due to it being exposed to too much light. So I took off the bulb on that side of the tank and now its like a 'low'light tank. My Killis are happy with it it seems. I think it might be growing back some green leaves but I wanted to ask for advice on it. Also I think I have brown algae. Does it eat leaves? My Ancharis seems to be slightly coated with the brown gunk and I always see holes on the leaves. Thoughts?

p.s: Anyone seen Red Cherry Shrimps and Amano Shrimps in stores around Ottawa?

Rah

My ancharis leaves are starting to droop and curl.. even the new stalks branching out.. is it a lack of nutrients( i have not been supplementing them anything) or lack of CO2 (low tech tank). I hvae black fluorite substrate. Any one else had a similar issue?
