Title: PAR Meters
Post by: JetJumper on January 18, 2011, 12:40:09 PM
Has anyone locally purchased a PAR Meter?  I am looking for a decent place to buy one.  I know of Apogee, but for the unit you are looking at $400US + Shipping..  Honestly thats a little costly for what it is.  Anyone seen any places that sells them for under the $300 mark?  Or any other manufacturers?

Let me know
Thanks.

I can't find the thread but I'm pretty I asked that same question last summer, also suggesting that if a few people want to use one, we throw some $ in a pot and buy one for all OVAS members.

Try these, I have the basic model but will probably get the external sensor for in water measurement.

I came across this site last night.  It is cheaper which is good.  But do you happen to know if the sensor is waterproof?  Maybe I am blind and didn't read very well.. haha.

Their remore sensor is not waterproof. Apogee is the way to go for that.
