Lee Valley carries a monitor that warns you of water leaking!!! It's pretty neat :)
Think maybe might invest in one!

Would have to turn that thing off during water changes.  Just in case.

Doesn't seem too reliable either, especially on larger tanks.  A leak could come from any corner and usually the floor is pretty level, placement would be iffy.

Still, I could see people interested in it.

I have one. You can daisychain several sensors together to cover a wide area.

They're not really designed to sense minor puddles (although they can) but are better as an early warning for catastrophic situations. Relatively inexpensive when you consider the cost of replacing a section of hardwood or carpet.

lol...... as a plumber i see tons of stuff like this ,its a water alarm people install them by theyre sewage and sump pits just incase of pump failure. you can pretty much get them at any big hardware store
