Title: Plumbing / UV sterilizer help
Post by: fortunateson on February 21, 2011, 04:35:40 PM
Here goes...

I both a UV sterilizer a while back. Its a 14 watt model and works very well. Its a model that works outside of the tank. Right now the UV is running on a small eco pump that is inside the tank.

I would like to not have to pump inside the tank as it looks cluttered. The only problem is this model of sterilizer has an inlet and outlet the size of normal airline tubing and my canister has 16/22mm hose (eheim)

I am looking for any help to remove the pump from my tank and either A, find an exterior pump that would work of B some kind of fitting that would allow me to fit the inlet and outlet into my current canister tubing

Thanks for any help

Here is a pic of my setup
