Hello,
I have this light fixture: http://www.bigalsonline.ca/Fish_Lighting_Pendants_Black-Pendant_9927425_102.html?tc=default (http://www.bigalsonline.ca/Fish_Lighting_Pendants_Black-Pendant_9927425_102.html?tc=default)
This is the replacement bulb for it: http://www.bigalsonline.ca/Fish_Lighting_Replacement-Lamps-Bulbs_Power-Compact-Lamps_55W-2C-Power-Compact-Pendant-Lamp_9928961_102.html?tc=default
I'm looking for a local retailer that carries a similar bulb without the $59.99 price tag that Big Al's charges. I've been to Home Depot/Rona/Canadian Tire and they don't have anything similar to this.
Does anyone know of a specialty electric or lighting store with a decent selection that could possibly have it?
Thanks,
Tony
If that's not a Circline bulb, it's very similar. I know that most of the stores you quoted used to carry them because we had one on our bathroom ceiling. First place I would try is Buchanan Lighting on Loretta Ave.
Yep, that is a circline bulb.
The problem is that this fixture uses a centre pin arrangement

As opposed to side pin (which is much more common)

Do they make adapters for this?
Also, I'm looking for something 6500 - 10000K. Most of these are only 2000-4000K. This is a little too yellow for my liking. The OEM one that Big Al's sells is 10000K.
Try plumbing and electrical in bells corner. They might have it there since they have a big selection of light
You can try Litemor on Old Innes Rd.
If all else fails perhaps you could try calling an electrical company to see if any of their suppliers carry them and order from them???
I did a little research for you. Looks like the Circline brand is manufactured by MaxLite, at least the bulbs are. Google Maxlite and you'll find the bulb you want, although I couldn't find one above 2700K which is warm white. The 2700K I found was $14. I'm guessing the higher price from BAs was partially due to it being 10000K.
Have fun.
