Title: Removing trim form a 10 gallon?
Post by: featherfin on April 26, 2011, 09:20:14 AM
i have an old 10 gallon with black trim alone the top that i would like to remove, but i don't want to weaken the tank. the trim is already coming off in the middle of the tank anyway, but i'm not sure how much support it adds in the corners.

would it be okay to pull it off the top?

i did remove mine... when i bought my tank,  while moving it from there place to mine  it was falling apart so  we took it out and i never put it back on , my tank is 180 gallons so  i don't think those little black plastic trim would have hold my tank together
