Title: Canopy build for a Nano
Post by: NanoSF on May 07, 2011, 11:17:25 AM
The obstacle here was the bow front of these all in one nanos. Being a crappy carpenter I was a bit daunted at the task of creating the curves to follow the front curved glass. So basically I curved as much as I could get out of it and faked it a bit by adding a lip to the top that mimics the curve of the glass. Even this was a difficult cut for me and my limited supply of decent tools. I think it turned out better than I expected so I thought I would post it up. It is not painted in the final coat of flat black yet as you can see. All with $14 worth of wood.  ;D

Looks fine to me - great in fact! I know what you mean with limited tools. I'm an apartment dweller have limited space and tools. Amazing what you accomplish with them plus annoying the wife in middle of the living room with my projects... LOL Again looks great nice job.
