Title: spray bar on an AquaClear filter ?
Post by: magnosis on June 13, 2011, 04:58:12 PM
Has anyone fitter a spray bar of sorts to an AC hob filter ?  Is there one available on the shelves that will readily fit the AC, or should I just DIY one myself ?

I love the AC filters for their price, versatility and efficiency, but I find the return creates to much of a strong, downwards current.  A spray bar would fix that for me.

Try this

Take an old pop bottle cut the center out of it, then cut it to fit the water out let. But be careful not to cut the lenght to short allow it to curl under the filter, this will help kill the down wards current.

sweet trick ! thanks for the tip, I'll try that tonight, much simpler than heating up, bending and drilling plastic pipes  :P

I have an AC110.  I attached a plastic strip from a glass top.  It clipped right onto the output area of the AC.  I'm thinking of trying to bend it upwards a bit though.
