Title: Acrylic & Cement
Post by: androo303 on November 14, 2011, 06:30:58 PM
Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase acrylic and its bonding agents (Weld-On). I've checked with Canus plastics and they've informed me that it is $6 per sq/ft of 6mm thick clear acrylic. That is pretty steep in my opinion so I am wondering if anyone knows of another supplier with reasonable prices.

Cheers,
Andrew

cast acrylic is stupidly expensive.  last time i was at laird they had the weldons in the front office.

i think the only choices in ottawa are

canus

laird

apo

...maybe some glass companies may carry acrylic but i havent checked.

What about EM plastics? Anyone heard of /gone through them before? I stumbled upon this last night and seems he has a deal with them - free cutting if its for aquariums if you mention him:

I believe that EM has about 8 outlets.  nearest to us would be toronto or montreal
