Title: nutrients cause algae in a planted tank?
Post by: charlie on December 04, 2011, 06:12:35 PM
At the club`s Xmas party i was asked the question about phosphate in a planted tank & how others had advised them to use various filters to get it out, i tried my best to explain how misunderstood some folks are but this thread deals with it better than i can explain it, have a read. Compliments of the barreport forum.

With experience the best solution I've found for algae is fast growing stem plants.  Always plant heavily and you won't see it.
