Title: Anyone have experience keeping Danio erythromicron?
Post by: bettabreeder on January 25, 2012, 04:19:19 PM
I was just wondering if any one has kept these little beauts before? It appears as if one of the CPD's i bought from big als may not be a CPD but a cross breed of an emerald dwarf and a galaxy rasbora (CPD for those that are trying to keep track of names). I've read that the D. erythromicron and the C. margaritatus are able to crossbreed and create a hybrid. anyone have this experience per chance?
Cheers,
Brendan

Just curious... What does the suspected hybrid in your tank looks like? Would you be able to post a picture?
I am curious because I have both CPDs and emerald dwarf rasbora in the same tank.
thx
Dave

Posting a pic is impossible cuz 'it' (have no idea how to distinguish gender) swims so fast and stays hidden the majority of the time. It has the spotted pattern of the celestial but color of the emerald. The fins are all vivid orange but no black markings. It also has the signature black dot of the emerald just before it's Cadual fin.
