Title: Drift Wood

hey all i was wondering i leave near the st lawrance an there is always a huge amountof drift wood around last night i ofund a amazing piece about 7 feet long that i wanna put in my 96 gallon tank  ( i will be trimming it up abit to make it fit but it has been in the the river for who knows how long would it be safe to say after i rinse it off with a diluted bleach an rinse it it would be safe for my tank ??? i tohught the tangins would have came out sitting in the river what do you all think ?

Hello there.......I read your drift wood comment..
 under  "no circumstance" should u use deluted bleach...... nor only
 will you kill your fish or perhaps plants that you might have.
 I suggest rinsing it with salt water.or very well diluted vinager.
 old wood has the problem of absorbing what ever liquid is being
 cleaned with...so no BLEACH.

ya ok then so just soak it in a salt or viniger soulotion an then it should be ready since it has been in the st lawrance all winter im gussing ?
