I am starting to get a bit concerned with the size of these guys, they have started to take swipes at the fish instead of running away. I thought they were shrimp but the growth in the last couple of weeks is incredible and they are starting to look more like crayfish. Other shrimp are about a 1 cm long, these guys are about 3 cm and my be doing some pruning of my plants. The tank has only been setup since just before the giant auction.
Are they shrimp? Should I try to get them out?
Thanks,
AdamR
My tank is a 20g long, lots of live plants, 6 Red Minor Tetras, 2 Zebra Danios.
They look like crayfish with those pincers in the front. Shrimp don't have those.
Caught them, easier than I thought it would be, guess they think they own the place and didn't worry about a big net.
Free if you ant them: http://ovas.ca/forum/index.php?action=classifieds;sa=view;id=1934 (http://ovas.ca/forum/index.php?action=classifieds;sa=view;id=1934)
