Title: Fissidens fontanus and Subwassertang (aka round pelia)
Post by: dbl_dbl on October 29, 2012, 06:11:45 PM
Has anyone in OVAS had experience growing either of these? I'm looking to try some, information on the net varies from low tech, to high tech, to people saying they will grow in a wet sock in a dark closet.

F. fontanus

F. fontanus does grow for me in low tech. Low light and it grows stringier and deeper green. In high light, its a brighter green and more pronounced fronds.

Thanks dude. Just out of curiosity, do you breed Killis?

I did at one point but did not have enough room then for separate set ups for the different species.. just have a couple now and no breeding projects in the work currently for Killies :) Would love to though.. get a killi rack going or something. Maybe down the road some time!
