Title: 60g freshwater tank
Post by: soleil1980 on December 04, 2012, 11:23:38 AM
Hello!
So I got my tank this past weekend and I got everything ready.  It just needs water!

This is a tank my dad got from his neighbour.  He was throwing it away!  It came with a stand, decorations, one canister filter and 2 HOB and about 10 air pumps lol

The neighbour has goldfishes and the 60g was getting too small...  I still don`t understand why he didn`t try to sell it though because everything is super nice and in working order, but yay for me!

The only thing I was wondering, before filling it up, is that it is a rimless tank and I never had one of those before...  Do I need to do something different?

Will post picture asap

For rimless tanks it's adviseable to have a small cushioning layer below the tank to help with pressure points because the edges are prone to chipping and damage.
