Title: Dry fertilizers
Post by: wolfiewill on January 07, 2013, 06:06:06 PM
I am just finishing off my Seachem ferts and need to mix up some dry KH2PO4 purchased from B&B hydroponics. I have calculated that I need to add about 2 tspns to 1.656 L of water for a 0.03% solution. Using this I can dose at the some rates as I had been with Seachem phospherous. Does this sound right? Does any one else use this product?

As per Rex, for dosing KH2PO4 (not sure  if KH2P2O3 is a typo) you need to mix 7.2 grams or 1.5 teaspoons or 0.50 tablespoons into 250 ml of water. Each ml of this solution will add 0.53 ppm of PO4 in 10 gallons of water.

Ya, it's an error on my part. The jar is labelled mono potassium phosphate which according to several sources is KH2PO4. What's 'Rex'?
