Title: raphael catfish with big stomach.

Is it normal for a raphael catfish to have a big belly?

Have you fed it a lot recently? Most catfish tend to gorge themselves if you let them.

Mind always have big belly. It eats anything and everything that fits in his mouth.

Count the rest of the fish in the tank... You are probably missing one... or two...  :-\

Its a baby catfish around 1-1.5 inches.  its just i rarely see him. he usually just grabs a shrimp pellet then disappears. then when i saw him sitting on the pellets, i sneaked and observed him. thanks for he replies!

He should be fine. Just observe him over the next day see if his tummy still big or it gotten smaller.
