Hi,
Just want to share some pictures of my new 45 gallons and was wondering what you think about it.

I think it looks like you're off to a good start. What kind of lighting, substrate, co2, fertilizers etc., are you using?

I really like the tree look and yours is shaping up to be a very good version of it.

Thanks!
My system is a marineland rimeless 45 gallons(24x24x18) I use fluval stratum for substrate with some ADA power sand on the bottom...I use the fluval co2 system with a 8000k metal halide.

Looking good! You need some glass lily pipes and an inline diffuser and you are set! :p

I'm really liking this setup, do keep us posted as it fills in.
What have you got it stocked with?

Very nice start! That piece of wood is a great find and does work very nicely as tree trunk.

There are a few things that I would do slightly different, from an esthetic point of view: That tree is too centered, moving it more to either side will have much more impact. The rocks work better in uneven numbers, or just closer together, right now it has no impact on me. I would also add background, with you wall color the tank blends in too much, you want it to pop.

Happy aquascaping!

I will definitely put a back ground I just did'nt have time yet ...because with my green wall in the back it looks ugly...tanks for the tips on the rocks I'll work on that!

I will agreed with the placement of the tree. I think shifting it a little to one side and a slight rock placement adjustment. It is a beautiful setup ! Great job. I my self have become more accustom to painting my tanks. But a well installed back drop image can change the tone of the tank. A darker background can help make the colours of the greens and your fish stock stand out more.

Really nice set up, this tank has awesome written all over it when it matures.
As fischkopp suggested , a slightly off centred tree will make a huge difference.
Keep us posted.
