Title: is a eheim 2215 too much of an overkill for a 20 g?
Post by: ma_clement on October 10, 2013, 05:54:45 PM
Hey everyone

I have a possibility to get an eheim 2215 canister for 70$ which is kinda cheap

Is it too much of an overkill for a 20 gallon planted or will it allow me to have a bigger fish population?

I can also get a fluval 204 for cheaper, but from what I have read here and there, this is a lot of leakage issues with the x04 series

It's totally doable. I know people who use the 2217 on tanks that size. You can always adjust the double tap (close slightly) to adjust flow.

Personally always having a bad case of MTS I would have gone for the deal and also
have upgraded the size of the tank :).
You'll get the addiction idea eventually ;). We all understand it here so we don't judge.
Sounds like you got a good deal.
