Title: plant ID please
Post by: Nyx on December 13, 2013, 09:14:40 AM
I have two plants in my 12G that I have no clue as to what they are. Can anyone ID these for me?

#1, which we bought at Critter Jungle about 6 months ago:

#2, was a hitchhiker that started with a 2" sprig:

The first one looks like some sort of Rotala, possibly Rotala rotundifolia, but not certain.

The second one appears to be Najas guadalupensis, also known as Najas or Guppy Grass.

I think the same on both counts  ;), the guppy grass is for sure & I`m pretty confident the Rotala is rotundifolia - as you stated it came from CJ who has a big farm of it  :)

Thanks, Errol, for the ID confirmation. Sue, I'm grateful it grows fast as it's helping keep my baby Endlers alive. :)
