Title: discus tank mates
Post by: fishycanuck on March 03, 2014, 09:13:35 PM
Ever since my very old BN pleco went to the tank in the sky, I've had to actually scrub the sides of my discus tank. My favourite pleco breeder doesn't currently have any stock to sell.
Could I put another kind of pleco or an apple snail in there to help with cleanup?

I've only used bristle nose because they aren't as likely to go after the mucus coating on the discus.

Some plecos species tend to be more carnivorous than others, and are more interested in fish food and mucus.
