My personal experience on it is ok, depends on how much u pay for it. I've a CP 130W on my 18in deep tank. My plants are growthing good. but i dont have high demand plant though. The problem with this light is the reflector I think because it is too compact and many light is lost.

From everything I've read... I also heard about the issues with the reflectors. I've also read about some of the units getting way too hot and heating up the water considerably (so definitely use the legs). They're obviously not as high quality as Coral Life.
I've never used one myself... But I've been looking at cheap units available on Ebay for a while now.
I have one 4 x 65 watt and the option of moonlights. Mine has a fan. The unit does project some heat but not enough to change the temp of the water. I use the legs though. My tank is deeper than yours ( 24") The lights are strong enough to reach the substrate and I am having good plant growth. I did buy it from ebay just be aware that you will pay duty I payed $40.00 for the duty fees. Overall I am very satisfied and I find the price reasonable and the look pleasing.

should definitely good enough for a 15 in tank. I dont have the heat problem on mine as well even it doesnt come with any fan
