Title: Water question
Post by: SouthR on December 19, 2005, 08:54:53 PM
I have a question, just something simple that has tweek my mind. The question deals with salt water but can also be for fresh. The question is dealing with RO which is the big thing now. How many people do water changes and have an RO and live in the city, and how many just leave the water as it is and live in the country. Because I have never done water changes, my fish and sea horses are doing great and I have never had a problem with the water issues, nitrate, nitrie and etc, in fact my biggest problem is scrapping the purple coraline algae. I would be intrested in knowing this to see if people have noticed the same thing.

Thanks

Richard

i only used distilled water from lablaws. i used conditioned tap water in the past but found it was promoting algae.

I have an RO unit i will be settin after the holidays.

How much did that RO Unit cost and what's involved with installing one of those?

Here's a weird Q...could you put OLD tank water through an RO unit?  You know, to clean it, and not "waste" it?
