Title: 33 gallon bow front low tech tank
Post by: YOWgyrl on October 22, 2019, 02:45:18 PM
This tank was converted to a dirted tank using the concepts of the Walstad method. No CO2 and no ferts.

I used organic potting soil capped with caribsea sand. The hills were created using  the previously used gravel put into nylon mesh bags. 1 gorgeous dragon stone and moss covered spider wood are the main attraction, river rocks and gravel are scattered about. Plants include 3 kinds of swords, and other miscellaneous plants.   The center is still open as the set up is new.
The current inhabitants are 6 phantom tetras, thee had been some mating behaviours before the rescape, so fingers crossed.

The filter is to catch all of the solid matter floating in the water as this set up is newish.
