Title: Invasive Species act update
Post by: Jody on January 03, 2024, 03:03:33 PM
Hiya Folks,

So there have been a few new additions to the Ontario Invasive Species list as of Jan 1, 2024
Included is the floating plant Salvinia, and the Procambarus and Pasifastacus crayfish which fall under their prohibited species.
This means it is illegal to import, possess, deposit, release, transport, propagate, buy, sell, lease or trade this plant.
Obviously we can't control what members decide to do with the plants they have, but please note we can not accept any Salvinia or crayfish from those families coming to the club.
