i just bought a new fluval 404 for 119$
is that a good price?

I think it's good considering I paid that for a 200 series a couple of winters ago.

NjoyRiD, $119 is a very good price.... I bought mine last June for $104 (I think) at SP Merivale when they were moving over to the new location.... Nowadays, you are lucky if you can get it for $149 when it was on sale....

Dunno if anyone has one, but they look pretty damn cool. If I bought one I'd have to run all my tanks off of it tho..it's rated up to 400gal if I remember correctly.

The FX5 looks fantastic. We have one set up at work right now, it's powering the tank with the red tail gold arrowana.

I want one... but I just can't shell out $350 + tax...

I have only met one fellow with the new filter and he says it is great, but that it actually sucked in one of his fish as he was watching....lol
