So.... how's it going?
I was just talking to Matt and I'm pretty sure we're both out. He *lost* his, and mine is covered in black brush :(
Pics?
I'm at about 6 decent sized leaves around 6 to 8 inches tall
I'll snap a pic tonight.
Mostly just some green spot algae on 'em
You do realize BD that as "Plant Guru", your plants have a 2 leaf and 3" handicap right? :-)
Hey trust me... this plant has gotten so much neglect since I brought it home its not funny.
I think it was still in the bag the week after the meeting.
man I wish i had gon to that metting, I think I would be wining! all the cripts that I got at the big auction, have at least 2 new leaves, one i think has 5, itsgeting big. also my anubias has5 new leaves from the auction, with a bunch of sprouts starting.
Also I think that 4000K lights are beter suited for plant growth then 10000K, thats from my experiance. I planted one cript in jan on the 10000K side and it has only pu up 5 leaves, well the ones on the other side have put up like 15

5 buck says your filter output is closer to that side of the tank.....
Here's mine
Now you can all stop worrying about your pitiful plants and laugh at my pitiful plant
Darn it, it is does that afect it that much? But I also have a power head on the other side, so its sorta eavin it out right? I'm going to put a hot magnum on the otherside instead of the power head. Is it just that it filters out all the nitrates?
nice plants by the way, I thought you were the "plant geek" of the group. What do you get if you win?
Mine is gone. With the velvet outbreak in the betta tank, and then the ich outbreak with the goldies, it had nowhere to go!
The only meeting I missed lately was the plant meeting. Too bad I really wanted in on that competition.
Ok, here is mine, right hand side of the tank. 8 or 9 leaves, but still rather small.
Ok, here's something really funny...I'm technically in the running...I'll go count, but I think I have 7+ leaves, and about 6" high...not as nice as garnpet's by the look of it, but it's still alive!!

ROFL. I WISH mine was doing that well.... I HAD 5 leaves, about 6" tall; over the last 2 weeks, I lost 4 of 'em, and the 5th is starting to rot. Fortunately, I see 2 new shoots starting... But, it's back to being 2" tall.... *snif*
VERY nice looking tank garnpet - well done

Thanks for the comment. The tank needs a good clipping and some plant reoganization right now. As well, I cringe each time I take a picture and see the orange gravel that my son picked out for the tank.
hehe Yes, but it looks like you're in the lead! :)
Don't forget their people that don't go on the forum.

Trust me bud, that doesn't need a good clipping.
THIS is a tank in need of a good clipping.
I call it "Hygro Gone Wild"

Been there, done that. Although instead of clipping it, I just tossed in all in the garbage can and then started over again with red ludwigia which is just as hard to control.
I've heard Cassandra's is doing well.
Oh, damn...I just realized I'm tearing down my planted tank...all my work is for naught.
Think the thing will continue to grow in one of my African tanks?
