Post by: redbelly1 on May 15, 2006, 05:01:02 PM
Anybody in this forum ever build their own stand?  Re:  min 90gal tank... ::)

if so,can u give me some pointers or plans ??  :) :P

Any response is much appreciated..... :) :D

Reason being: I move at the end of June and need to upgrade.. I have a 50/50 thought wise about factory made stands especially when it comes to a big tank... 8)

i have also made a stand out of 2x4's and ply wood. i also way over did it to be on the safe side, and will probobly cut off the 2x4's going across the side parts for more access.
ps.these are old pics, my tank is alot different now. but not the stand

I built mine out of 2X4's and some cedar fencing.  I like the way it turned out.  This is the pic just before completion.  Built the hood as well, put some different lighting under there.  The best advice take your time, plan it out for your needs.
