Post by: dannypd on May 25, 2006, 02:28:50 PM
My giant hygro is flowering!!

I've never seen this before!!  It's got flowers coming out of the stem, the STEM!!  Not the tips!

They are little purple flowers, that look really neat.

Should I take pics?

I should mention these plants are being grown using a 15 watt flurescent tube as an experiment.

This entire tank is powered by the sun....(pumps, lights, etc).  (The light is NOT sunlight because I want to see the potential for being a "space" plant  :)

My goal is for it to convert CO2 in my air and produce more O2.  So far, only the co2 is measurable  :(
