Hi Julie,

No, the shrimps don't bother my discus at all and my Discus don't bother them.  The shrimp (along with the Otocats) are a good algea cleanup crew and if there isn't enough "cleaning" needs they'll grab one of the sinking waffers I drop in for the loaches and corries and carry it away to eat out of sight.  They are too funny.  Amano's are big (some of mine have reached a good 2" if not slightly more.  They do very well in high temps (87 to 89) with PH as low as 6.  Apparently they are sensitive to water changes but I find them very hardy and adaptable.  They are apparently short lived (6 months) but I swear I have some that are more than 1 year old.
