I recently bought this unit, but It hasn't worked since I set it up. I've tried priming it a few dozen times and still won't work! I tried everything. I filled it with water to the top. Any advice? I'm sure lots of you own these filters.
Have you tried following the instruction manual for setup ? I know eheim manuals are not very good at explaining the process.
I did. There's only two pages for the instructions, and they mostly wrote about the warrenty. Other stuff written is what I've already done while setting it up.
Simple enough - google "eheim pro 4 600 manual" and log on to the eheim site link which has the manual - it's about 132 page booklet in umpteen languages.
The Eheim manuals - except for the Classic - are always pretty comprehensive.
If you bought this new then someone took the manual out of the box.
Do you hear the motor engaging? Is the impeller in it - did you visually check?
Dumb enough, I had the in-take and out-take mixed up lol. I'm so use to the Fluval filters that I thought they'd be the same. After I had figured that out, It literally took a minute and it started pumping. Thank you Al.
